We have only to listen to the news to understand just how bad our life and our world could be right now. And yet we can be thankful. We have so much to be thankful for. God is still in control. When events happen that we just don't understand, He's still in control. When we are hurt by those who care about us, He's still in control. When finances diminish and we don't see a way out, He's still in control. We can look back over our lives and see all the different times when He has protected us, provided for us, and given us so much that we don't deserve. I am so thankful that I have a roof over my head, food to put on the table, shoes to put on my feet and people in my life who care about me. And on the slim chance that you personally, can't think of anything in your life to thank Him for; thank Him and praise Him for who He is. For He is Alpha and Omego, the beginning and the end, Savior, Father, Counselor, Prince of Peace, Holy, Creator of the universe, Our Guiding Shepherd, Lover of our Souls, and the truest best friend we could ever have.
Psalm 7:17 I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
Psalm 9:1 ¶ I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
Psalm 9:2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
Psalm 34:1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
He accepts the shattered, broken pieces of our lives and very patiently puts us back together, healing every crack and crevice until the damage is no longer felt or seen. It's gone! How can we ever praise Him enough!
